Print + Pattern

Orla Kiely, an Irish fashion designer based in London, is best known for her Premiere Class collection. Her prints and patterns, which are steeped in play and delightful colour combinations, are at the forefront of textile design.


The Royal College of Art graduate has recently released a book entitled, Pattern. It showcases her work from the past 15 years, offers insight into her creative process and inspirations. See below for some of our favourite uses of her signature patterns on everyday objects.

Of The Same Earth




Puma & Syrup commissioned celebrated artist Kehinde Wiley to design limited edition sneakers and a range of clothing along with original artworks as a build up to the World Cup in South Africa.  View film







To enhance the authenticity of his products, he took an anthropological approach and travelled to West Africa to get a better understanding of the lives and culture of star footballers, Johnny Mensah, Emmanuel Eboue and Samuel Eto'o. A short film was produced and distributed online that chronicled the process. Events also took place in New York, Berlin and around the world. To create added context, the experiences were held in unique environments for the creative community, incorporating the artworks, products and live music by Zozo Afrobeat. View film
