With Do not give way to evil (powerHouse Books - 2008) photographer Lisa Kahane takes us to the South Bronx of the late 70's, a chaotic and distressful neighborhood where drugs, poverty and crime were rampant.
Spontaneous and disturbingly real, this is how to qualify the images that cover a period of years, With her camera, the artist illustrates the change that slowly took place and transformed the area

Alerte a Malibu

One of my favorite French communication agency La MJC was commissioned by the Malibu liquor company to give their classic white bottle a makeover as part of their Pop Art & Street Art serie.
Mission accomplished with Delta, So-me and James Jarvis , three artists with a distinct visual style, who each add their personal touch to the bottle. These collector's items -- only 100 bottles per artist -- are a Colette exclusive .
From left to right: So-Me, Delta and James Jarvis. Take your pick.

Designed by as part of Narciso Rodriguez’s spring 09 collection, the scoop-neck dress made a statement. For or against, Mrs. O’s ladylike, luxe swagger was able to pull it of with grace and style. I wonder what she will wear for the inauguration?

This summer the Rock the Bells tour stopped in several cities throughout the US and Canada, and now it's Paris' turn. Next Monday, Dante "Mos Def" Smith, Nas, The Pharycide -- and more -- will bless Le Zenith with some of the old school joints and some more recent material.
The Frenchies have always had special bond with the Mr Nassir Jones who will perform for the first time in France, pieces from "N".
Knowing the caliber of all of these MC's and in light of the the recent events, Rock the Bells Parisian-style promises to be INSANE!

Yet another reason for Canadians to consider venturing south of the border for a quick shop. Appropriately labelled McQ, the collection boasts mesh fabrics, hush tones alongside sparks of colour, and studs which translates the edgy, rock ‘n roll influence.

I choose to love it! I have just ordered my copy of MK+Ashley Olsen's new coffee table book: Influence. With 4 sections on Fashion, Environment, Art and Giving Back, filled with 22 influential actors, artists, and designers, alongside personal mementos and stellar photographs, this was a definite must have. Listen to an Interview with the Olsen's.
